Count It All Joy: A COVID-19 Update

By Stan Morton | March 27, 2020

Dear Saints,

Count it all joy, my brothers (and sisters), when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have it full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”  James 1:2-4 – What you see there is the Word of God, not my word.  If it was mine, I would exhort anything by counting it joy!!  Yet nothing that befalls us in our lives, collectively or individually, is wasted when God is involved.  That includes our current collective encounter with Covid-19.  In some fashion, God will use this time to build into us a steadfastness that easy street does not build in us.  Sure it is a hassle and a struggle, but God uses it nevertheless to strengthen and mature us.  But if you are like me, lets get it over with already!  But alas God knows best.  It is good to rest in the arms of our all knowing Savior.

Tomorrow, we will be holding service like last week as a streaming service starting again at 10:30 am.  It is our hope that we can continue streaming our service, but if we have to come under “shelter in place”, we have some ideas to execute.  Continue to pray for me and the Stream Team as we endeavor to provide our time of worshiping together in spite of the limitations. God bless you!
