The Children’s & Youth Ministry of Crown and Joy serves our covenant and communicant children and seeks to foster in them a knowledge of the gospel and love for Jesus Christ and his church. Walking alongside our families, we strive to instruct them in the Word and lead them to become fruitful lifelong disciples of Christ.
Divine Service
Sunday Bulletins
Sunday bulletins are provided for both our Preschool and School Age children (0-12 years) to help guide and encourage them to participate in our worship service, while also directing their focus during the sermon. Bulletins are optional and are meant to be a tool to help our families who would like to use them. Immediately following the service, children are invited to bring their completed bulletins to a children’s ministry leader for review and a treat.

Ministry Age Groups
Children between the ages of 0-17 (or a senior in high school) are welcome to be a part of the Children’s & Youth Ministry at Crown and Joy. Our ministry consists of two main groups, C&J Kids and C&J Teens. These groups are broken down into 3 sub groups. The cut off for all groups is flexible as we aim to work with families to have children in the group that will best help foster their growth in Christ.
C&J Kids: Preschool

Wednesday Night Small Groups
C&J Kids small groups provide an opportunity for our children to gather and learn the word of God through a selected Bible curriculum. Small groups are held the first three Wednesdays of each month from 6:45-8:00 pm, and are at the same time as our adult small groups. Currently, we are taking a journey through the bible using the Gospel Project. We also work on scripture memorization, the West Minister Shorter Catechism (School Age: Intermediate), and the First Catechism (Preschool & School Age: Primary). Our Preschool and School Age Primary groups also learn scripture through song during our “Bible Songs with Ms.Terry” time.
C&J Teens are also encouraged to study the word and grow in their walks with the Lord through our small groups. Our Teens alternate every 6 weeks between our adult groups and our Teen Study, also the first 3 Wednesdays of each month from 6:45-8:00 pm.
Monthly Fellowship Events
Our monthly fellowship events are meant to encourage fellowship and fun among our kids and teens through gatherings and activities hosted by church members. C&J Kids have one event quarterly. C&J Teens have quarterly events and topic studies.
