Self-Denial

In the last sermon of our Unpleasant series, Pastor Leon Brown calls the church to self-denial. All who follow after Christ must pick up their cross daily; a rugged wooden cross, whose splinters and jagged edges rub against our preferences, comforts, and apathy. The church must rouse herself and leave behind the inactivity and silence that allows the type of hate found in Charlottesville this weekend to thrive.
